Sculptra, Now FDA Approved for Facial Cosmetic Use, Offered by Christine Hamori, MD, on Boston's South Shore

BOSTON — Dr. Christine A. Hamori, board-certified plastic surgeon, is pleased to announce the availability of Sculptra® Aesthetic, an FDA-approved injectable product that restores and corrects the signs of facial fat loss by replacing lost volume. Also known as "poly-L-lactic acid," it is synthetic, and biocompatible (does not harm the body) and biodegradable (able to be broken down by the body).

Sculptra Aesthetic is targeted for use in:
• Deep folds between the nose and the mouth, or, smile lines
• Lines framing your mouth (marionette lines)
• Chin wrinkles.

According to Dr. Hamori, who treats patients in her Duxbury, Massachusetts, surgical practice on Boston's South Shore, "Sculptra may take several treatments, and results happen slowly over several months. But unlike some injectables that are temporary facial fillers, Sculptra actually helps restore lost collagen -- restoring the structure under the skin -- for smoother skin and fuller volume that can last for two or more years."

Dr. Hamori's web site and plastic surgery blog have more information and links related to sculptra including videos of recent coverage of Sculptra on the Today Show and the CBS Morning Show.
