Burlington, MA — Healthcare management consulting firm, Applied Management Systems, Inc. (AMS) has received approved vendor status to help primary care physicians with implementation of electronic health records (EHRs). AMS was selected by the Massachusetts eHealth Institute (MeHI) Regional Extension Center as a Certified Implementation and Optimization Organization (CIOO). The firm will compete to offer federally subsidized consulting services targeted at small primary care physician practices helping to speed the adoption and implementation of electronic health records (EHRs) and meet meaningful use standards to obtain incentive payments.
According to AMS President Alan J. Goldberg, 36 organizations applied to be selected as IOOs. AMS was one of 18 organizations selected via a comprehensive selection process to the approved vendor list.
